May 2006 – Just a little while ago, I was an idea, a great idea spawned by Massachusettsrealestate.com. I have them to thank for creating me! From what I can understand, I have a big job to do! But before I say more about it, I’d better find out more, so I’ll talk about that later. For now, I’m just a drawing and can’t wait to be built. My creators are looking for a place that can build me. June 2006 – Well, I just heard that I will be built in St. Louis, Missouri at a place called Kincaid Karacters. MRE Media sent them my drawings and soon I’ll be real! I can’t wait to see what I will look like! Later……
Early July 2006 – Boy, it’s dark in here! Where am I? I hear something…..oh, there’s the lights! Wow, this place is huge, with high ceilings, lots of lights and different noises coming from machines located here and there. Someone is coming closer to my area…I think they’re talking about me! They are referring to me by the name of SELLY. It’s a funny name, but it does have a nice ring to it. Ooh, I just heard more – they said that I will be a large yellow house and I am called SELLY because I am going to help advertise homes for sale – that sounds like fun, even though I don’t know what I’ll be doing. They are showing a picture of me to other people – hey, I’m cute! I have big eyes, a huge smile, a chimney just like a real house! I will be wearing a beautiful purple sash across the front of with the name, MassachusettsRealEstate.com, and I will have a name tag, SELLY! I get it! My job will be to walk around showing my name and sash to help MRE Media advertise homes for sale. But, how will I walk, how will I talk? Need to find out more! Later….
Mid-July 2006 – Guess what? I found out how I will be walking – someone will be wearing me and they are walking for me. They will have purple arms and legs, big white gloves and shoes – I’ll look great! I keep hearing that I’ll be ready soon! BUT WHEN? Need to find out more! Later….
July 20, 2006 – I just heard that I’ll be ready in two more weeks!! Can it be? Oh, and guess what – I have a great big gold key – Neat – but WHY? Need to find out more! This is getting exciting! Later…..
July 24, 2006 – It’s all coming together – I get it! The key is to help people find a house to live in. I will be going to OPEN HOUSES for MassachusettsRealEstate.com and my key will help people open the door to their future! What a great job! I can’t wait! When will I be ready to go? Haven’t heard of a final shipping date yet! Need to find out more! Later….
July 27, 2006 – I just heard something unbelievable – I will have my own car! I just saw a picture of it and it is beautiful! It is called a Toyota SCION, looks like a box, but it is covered with pictures of me! ME! I’m gonna be a celebrity! Or maybe a SELL-ebrity! The car is sky blue with wispy white clouds – very pretty! The words, “MassachusettsRealEstate.com” is printed all over the car and a picture of the web site home page is on the back window of the car! Neat! Soon, everybody will know me, but I still don’t know when I’ll be ready to drive in my car around the state of Massachusetts. Need to find out more! Later…..
August 1, 2006 - Just heard an update on my completion date; I will be a couple of days late due to a techincal glitch, but I will be coming very soon! August 11, 2006 - I am all done. Ready for shipping, I heard someone say but where am I going? Someone is picking me up and putting me in a box! Now they are putting pieces of foam and plastic around me. I hope I will not be too hot! Oh, Oh! The top of the box is closing and it is pitch black in here! Good thing I am not afraid of the dark. Someone is lifting me into the back of a truck. I heard that I am going to Massachusetts, that must be why my sash says MassachusettsRealEstate.com. I just heard a loud noise and I am moving. I am on my way to my new home! Later.... August 18, 2006 - I have finally stopped moving! Someone is opening the box around me! Daylight! I have finally arrived and there are 5 people smiling at me and looking very happy. They must be my new family at MassachusettsRealEstate.com! I am just as happy to see them! Someone is putting me over his head - hey, I am walking around and someone just put my name tag, SELLY, on my chest! I am home! This is where I will live from now on. These are my new partners! I can not wait to start working with them to sell houses as part of their new advertising company, MassachusettsRealEstate.com. August 25, 2006 - I am on my first road trip! I am taking my first ride in my beautiful Toyota SCION, with 2 of my partners. We are heading to Clinton, Massachusetts, to join the "ZIP TRIP" sponsored by the FOX NEWS TV Channel 25. Once we arrived we found lots of people who wanted to take their picture with me. My partners gave out T-Shirts with a picture on me on the back. I really look good on the T-Shirts, of course! Check out pictures of me in my photo album and maybe you will be there too! September 1, 2006 - We're on our way again! It's been a whole week and boy, am I bored! We are heading to Provincetown this time - never been there! Then again, I've not been anyway except for Clinton! We will be taking part, once again, in the last "ZIP TRIP" of the summer. The last one was so much fun! There were lots of people all around and we had fun....too bad it's the last one of the season. This is a long ride, but the scenery is great! I hear my partners talking about crossing a great big bridge over what they call is the Cape Cod Canal. I peek out as we are crossing the bridge and almost freaked out! First time I've ever been on a bridge and it's a long way down!!!! with lots of water below. There are lots of sailboats and a huge flat boat, guessed it's called a barge! The weather is beautiful, sunny and warm. I see some sandy beaches on the sides of the water. We're here! Lots more people than the last time! The streets are kinda narrow and there are lots of little shops. Looks like a great place to visit! I hope we come back and spend more time here....I like it here. OK, here we go - I'm moving around and mingling with lots of folks - they are all so nice. Lots of pictures being taken again and I'm giving out more t-shirts. Everybody loves me! They want to take their picture with me again. I must be a celebrity! I hope people don't want my autograph, because I don't know how to write and my hands are awfully big and kinda clumsy! We were very successful and had lots of fun with everybody. Check out the pictures in my photoalbum. You may be there! Later..... September 9, 2006 - What a great job I have! Today we attended the MAR Ride for Charity event held at the Nashoba Valley Ski Resort in Westford, Ma. Participants in this event brought their special cars or motorcycles to compete for the best in show! The event also included a cookout, great music (DJ was Paul Chasse of the MAR staff) and terrific people. The President of MAR, Dave , was a great sport as he volunteered to be in the dunk tank. Lots of people ponied up to see Dave dunked, all for a good cause! There were lots of raffle items, including a brand new shiny motorcycle! What a beauty! These MAR folks sure know how to put on a party! My company, MassachusettsRealEstate.com, gave out bright yellow balloons and yellow t-shirts with our logo on the front and ME on the back! The kids loved seeing me! I was quite a hit! Everybody wanted to have their pictures taken with me. So check out the pictures in my Photoalbum - you may see yourself there! MassachusettsRealEstate.com participated in the raffle by giving away a ticket to the 2006 MAR Conference on Oct 10-11, 2006 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel. The winner was Joan DeCosta of the No. Bristol County Realtors' Association. Congratulations, Joan! Be sure to stop by our exhibit booth #2 and Commonwealth Ballroom "C" to meet me and our staff, view our terrific product packages, participate in our MRE REWARDS raffles (must be present to win!) of great furniture and home accessories and sample the tasty champagne and strawberries! Hmmmmmmmm! Look for our "SPIDERS" who will escort you to Ballroom "C" from 12:30-1:30 on October 10th. We hope to see you all! Later! September 23, 2006 - Today we traveled to Fall River to participate in the Fall River Realtors' Association 5K Road Race to support the Fall River YouthBuild group, a non-profit organization whose goals are to support and enrich the lives of underprivileged youths. We met some great people who devote their time and energy to a worthy cause. We hope to participate in this group's future events to support their mission! Kudos to the Fall River realtors who organized this event! Great job by all! Despite the cloudy, misty day, 100 runners and walkers participated in the road race!
